Marantochori

Marantochori is a village of Lefkada, on the southeastern side of the island, in a distance of approximately 15 km from Nidri and only 6 km from Vassiliki.

A part of the village lies along the main road Nidri-Vasiliki, but it also extends higher up the road to Eugiros village.

In the village you can find old churches, and there is also a small monastery of Agios Georgios at "Mpissa" area, which is estimated to have been built in the 16th or 17th century.

Near Marantochori among the olive trees, there is a small natural lake ... the "Lake of Marantochori".
